What can you do to make a difference?

Elected officials (for the large part) do not respect your opinion. Case in point, June 27th vote on the gas tax hike! As a further example, Charles Mainor, Chairman of the Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee, on February 13, 2013, explained that the committee would vote on the bills BEFORE hearing public comments, at a public hearing to HEAR COMMENTS?!?!

Only in the face of overwhelming public outcry do these elected overlords maneuver and adjust their positions.
